The purpose of this training course is to identify ways of gaining a better understanding of the origin of food waste and what can be done to reduce it. The course is delivered by experts in food safety, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture; it is aimed at professionals in food businesses and managers of day-care facilities (maisons relais), crèches and any other institution wishing to implement specific measures to reduce food waste permanently.
It is both possible and easy to combine food safety and waste issues, and the effort is worth it. During this training course we propose and discuss various ways of limiting food waste throughout the process, from purchasing through to marketing foodstuffs. We begin with an analysis in the field before moving on to a specific and innovative action plan with clear solutions.
